At the age of 37, my life was forever changed when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer; an invasive and aggressive form of breast cancer. Without the compassionate care and treatment provided by the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center and tremendous support by my family and friends, to put it simply, I would not be here. It truly takes a village to get through it and I’m forever grateful to have had access to the amazing care and support I have. 

This September, I will once again be participating in the Polka Dot Trot, which is the Cancer Care Foundations signature event that raises funds to support cancer patients and their families in Newfoundland and Labrador.
