This September, I will participate in the Polka Dot Trot. Polka Dot Trot is the Cancer Care Foundations Signature Event which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families in Newfoundland & Labrador.

I will be walking and fundraising in memory of my dad ❤ He was diagnosed with Stage 4 CIC-rearranged sarcoma in April 2023. It is an extremely rare form of sarcoma. He unfortunately passed away January 2024 at the young age of 49.

If you knew Jeff Murrin you knew a kind hearted, gentle man. Who despite his own hardships would go out of his way to help others. Though my dad is no longer here with us, his values and love for others remain. 

I will continue to support cancer care here in Newfoundland, I will continue to raise awareness and encourage people to get regular testing done, cancer does not discriminate and we need to make sure that we are doing the most for the patients and their loved ones that are affected by cancer. 

Your generosity supports cancer patients who are facing a cancer journey.  I know it sounds cliche but we all have been affected by cancer in one way or another.
