This September I will participate in the Polka Dot Trot-- year five for me!  Polka Dot Trot is the Cancer Care Foundations Signature Event which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families in Newfoundland & Labrador. My team did so well last year, we are hoping to raise $5000 this year! I chose to participate in this event in support of my father who had been battling Multiple Myeloma since 2017. He had been diagnosed with Melanoma last year as well. He lost his battle to cancer on July 11th 2024.  I will continue to walk for him in his memory & grow my team each year.

I would also like to recognize two important people in my life who have recently been Diagnosed with multiple myeloma, my Aunt Paula & Uncle Larry. So, even though our team name is for Dad, this year we are walking for them too!
