This October, I will participate in the Polka Dot Trot. Polka Dot Trot is the Cancer Care Foundations Signature Event which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families in Newfoundland & Labrador.

This cause is near and dear to my heart as I have had numerous family members affected by the big 'C'. As a family we have won battles, lost battles and are still fighting the battle.
On a personal note. I've been very fortunate to work at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center for 25 years come this January. I have seen the amazing work that our foundation does on a daily basis and how every donation big or small helps the patients of Newfoundland Labrador.
