This October, I will participate in the Polka Dot Trot. Polka Dot Trot is the Cancer Care Foundations Signature Event which raises funds to support cancer patients and their families in Newfoundland & Labrador.
I joined the Polka Dot Trot in 2018, one year after having surgery for Esophageal Cancer. During my Radiation and Chemo treatments at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic, I saw first hand the need that was out there. I said back then, if I ever get back on my feet, I want to do something to help other cancer patients. Since that time my team and i have hosted many, too many to mention, fundraisers and have raised lots of money for the Cancer Care Foundation, NL.
